Cloud Solutions

What is Cloud Computing?

Cloud computing is the delivery of computing services—including servers, storage, databases, networking, software, analytics, and intelligence—over the Internet (“the cloud”) to offer faster innovation, flexible resources, and economies of scale (Azure, Microsoft). Basically, cloud computing works as a service, where we outsource our data centers and applications completely or partially. There are many companies who provides broad variety of cloud solutions. These cloud provider companies are Microsoft, Amazon, Google, Salesforce, IBM and many more.  All these companies offer multiple solutions, so the old myth about cloud that one service fits it all is almost nonexistence in today’s age. Cloud has already changed our everyday life knowingly or unknowingly. It starts as soon as we wake and say “hey google” to when we go to bed, we use cloud one way or another. Cloud has already changed both business and everyday life – from consumers who perhaps unknowingly use it to access their favorite music to companies that purposely harness its powerful resources. While much activity and buzz relating to cloud involves its technological capabilities, the benefits of cloud adoption extend into the business realm.

Fundamentals of Cloud Computing

1. On-demand self-service

2. Broad network access

3. Resource pooling

4. Rapid elasticity

5. Measured service

Use our AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud solutions to make your business more reliable, scalable, and cost-effective. 360 Passive can guide clients which model and which type of cloud is best for their businesses. Below are the cloud service and deployments models.

There are three cloud service models that can be used to transform business processes to cloud.

  1. Software as Service (SaaS): The capability provided to the consumer is to use provider’s applications running on a cloud infrastructure. Gmail, salesforce.com are pretty solid examples of SaaS.
  2. Platform as Service (PaaS): The capability provided to the consumer is to deploy onto the cloud infrastructure consumer-created or acquired applications created using programming languages, libraries, services, and tools supported by the provider. (eg. Microsoft Azure, Aws RDS, Google App Engine)
  3. Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS): The capability provided to the consumer is to provision processing, storage, networks, etc. where the consumer can deploy and run arbitrary software, which can include operating systems and applications. (eg. AWS EC2, S3, EBS, AT&T)

Clients can decide from four cloud deployment models. All these models come with variety of price range and bunch of different benefits and functionalities. Some will help clients more than others. These deployment models have different securities layers as well.

  1. Private Cloud: The cloud infrastructure is provisioned for exclusive use by a single organization comprising multiple consumers. Our team recommends using this cloud deployment model since it is the most secured and comes with on-site private cloud and outsourced private cloud capabilities.
  2. Community Cloud: Community cloud serves a group that has shared concerns such as mission objectives, security, and privacy.
  3. Public Cloud: The cloud infrastructure is provisioned for open use by the general public over a public network.
  4. Hybrid Cloud: The cloud infrastructure is a composition of two or more distinct cloud infrastructures that remain unique entities but are bound together by standardized or proprietary technology that enables data and application portability.
